My name is Deloris Sang-Sterling. I was born in Jamaica, West Indies. In 1978 I migrated to the United States to continue a course of study in education. I hold a BS degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, a MS degree in Vocational Education and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I taught Junior high and high schools both in Jamaica and the United States. After teaching for thirty two years I retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools.
I was raised a Seventh – Day Adventist, but became a baptized member at age twenty one. I believe that the Seventh-Day Sabbath is the holy day of worship. I met and married Trevor Anthony Sterling, and the union produced two children. I am the proud grandma of Sevyn Mckenzie Sterling.
